REALTY STUDIOS
Realty Studios › Frequently asked questions
This page answers the questions agents and sellers ask most before booking a real estate shoot with Realty Studios: when you pay, how changes and weather are handled, what happens on shoot day, how files are delivered and licensed, how square-footage pricing works and which areas we cover.
Each answer is short and links to the page that holds the full policy or the live figure, so the numbers you read are the ones the booking flow and your invoice use. If your question isn't covered here, text or call us from the contact page, or request a callback at a time that suits you.
You pay after the shoot, from an emailed invoice; nothing is charged and no card is stored when you book. There is no deposit, and payment is due once your media is delivered. Brokerage offices can arrange one consolidated invoice for their agents' orders. The payment terms are set out in the booking policy.
Cancelling is free at least 24 hours before your slot, and rescheduling is free at least 24 hours before. Inside those windows a $75 cancellation fee or $75 reschedule fee applies. Weather reschedules are free, so is a rebook when we couldn't get in, and if we cancel or move a shoot you pay no fee. Full terms: booking policy.
You can book any open slot on the live calendar, including today when a slot is still free. Arrival windows run through the day, with a separate twilight window near sunset. If you only know the date so far, check a date and we'll confirm it; if you need a shoot urgently and nothing is showing, send a rush request.
No. A lockbox, concierge or key arrangement all work; add the access details when you book. Lockbox codes are encrypted and visible only to the assigned photographer and admin staff. Occupied homes are fine too: after booking we send a seller prep checklist you can forward, covering lights, blinds, counters, vehicles and pets. See how it works.
It depends on the size of the home and the services booked. The time we reserve is calculated from your square footage, and bigger homes take longer. Extra services such as video or a 3D scan need more time on site. Your confirmation shows the arrival window, and the photographer texts you when they're done. See how it works for the shoot-day steps.
Interiors go ahead rain or shine. If weather spoils the exteriors or grounds the drone, we return for that part at no charge within the return window in our reshoot policy, and a weather reschedule never carries the late-change fee. Sky replacement is used only where weather made an exterior unusable, not as a default. Weather can move that part's delivery; see turnaround.
Usually, but it depends on the address. Much of Vancouver and Richmond sits in controlled airspace around Vancouver International Airport, and Boundary Bay and Pitt Meadows airports have their own; flights there need a NAV CANADA authorization. Our pilots are Transport Canada certified. We check your address before the shoot, and if we can't fly, the drone charge is removed. More on drone photography.
Files arrive on a branded gallery link with MLS-sized and web-sized exports and social crops, and we email you when they're ready. The link is shareable, so you can send it straight to your seller. Each service's timeline is shown on your order confirmation, and our terms promise no fixed turnaround. The turnaround page explains how editing is scheduled and what can move it.
We keep the copyright, and you get a licence to market that property. The licence covers MLS and portals, your own website and social media, print and email, and your co-listing agent and brokerage can use the images for the listing too. Other uses are licensed on request. The full wording is in our terms of service.
Photography has a base price covering interior space up to 1,883 sq ft, and larger homes add $0.09 for each extra square foot. Count finished, livable space; unfinished garages and crawl spaces don't count. If the measured floor plan differs meaningfully, the invoice adjusts at the same rate, up or down. Prices are in CAD before GST; see prices.
Yes. Our service area runs from Vancouver and the North Shore out to Mission, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Most of it carries no travel fee today; outlying areas such as Bowen Island and Squamish carry one, and any fee appears in your quote before you confirm. For an address beyond the area, send the details through the contact page and we'll confirm what's possible.
Yes. Virtual staging is done from your delivered photos, so no second visit is needed; styling is matched to the property, each image is labelled as digitally staged and the unstaged original comes with it. House renderings, social reels and social media management are quoted per project through the contact page. More on virtual staging.
