What real estate photography costs in Vancouver in 2026

Most Vancouver listings spend $130–$300 on HDR photography, with drone ($149–$350), twilight ($150–$300), 3D tours ($250–$500) and staging layered on top as the listing warrants. Market ranges below are typical published rates; our prices are live from the system that bills at checkout.

Real estate photography in Vancouver is priced by home size and scope, so the total depends on the square footage and on which services the listing needs. This guide sets out publicly advertised market ranges for listing photography, drone, twilight, 3D tours and virtual staging, and shows our own live price beside each one where we list it.

The ranges are market figures, not our prices. Our prices are read from the same catalogue that generates the invoice, in Canadian dollars before GST. The questions below cover square-footage pricing, hourly billing, drone add-ons, travel fees and tax.

HDR photography: Scales with home size — most Vancouver operators price by square footage or photo count.

Drone photos + video: Transport Canada certification and insurance separate the low end from the high end.

Twilight photography: Shot in a short window after sunset, usually as its own visit.

Matterport 3D tours: Priced by floor area — larger homes take longer to scan.

Virtual staging: AI staging sits at the low end; hand-finished staging runs $40–$65 per photo.

How square-foot pricing works

A minimum booking covers a typical home, plus a per-square-foot rate beyond it — so the price is computable up front, with no quote call. Our HDR photography at each band midpoint:

Photography cost questions

What do Vancouver real estate photographers typically charge for listing photos?

Publicly advertised rates for HDR listing photography in Vancouver commonly fall within $130–$300 per shoot, scaling with home size. Our own photography starts at $159.99 before GST, covering homes up to 1,883 sq ft. Drone, twilight, 3D tours and staging are added as the listing needs them. See every live price.

Why is real estate photography priced by square footage?

Larger homes take longer to shoot and edit, so square footage tracks the effort directly. Our base price covers homes up to 1,883 sq ft, and each extra square foot adds $0.09, so a condo never subsidises a large house. The total is calculated before you book, with no quote call. Try it in the booking flow.

Is hourly pricing better than per-listing pricing for real estate photos?

A fixed price per listing or per square foot is easier to plan around than hourly billing. With an hourly rate, a slow shoot or a larger home moves extra cost onto you after the fact. A per-square-foot price is known before you book, because what you are buying is a finished, MLS-ready gallery rather than time on site. See our rate sheet.

Are drone photos worth the extra cost for a Vancouver listing?

Aerial photos add the most for detached homes, acreage and view properties, where the lot and setting are part of the story. Publicly advertised drone rates in Metro Vancouver commonly fall within $149–$350. Whoever you hire, check that the pilot holds a Transport Canada drone pilot certificate; in controlled airspace such as around Vancouver International Airport, flights also need NAV CANADA authorization. About our drone work.

Do photographers charge travel fees in Metro Vancouver?

Some do, so always read the quote. With us, any travel fee for your address is shown in the quote before you confirm, and most of our service area carries none today. Outlying areas such as Bowen Island and Squamish do have a travel fee. Enter your address on the booking page to see the full total.

Are advertised real estate photography prices in BC usually before GST?

Yes, published shoot prices are generally quoted before GST, and ours follow that convention. Our prices are in Canadian dollars before tax; GST is added as its own line at checkout and itemised on the invoice, and the review step shows it before you confirm. See the booking policy for the full terms.
