Nothing sells the North Shore like altitude: ridgeline context, water proximity at the Cove, and the downtown-across-the-inlet money shot. Most of the district is flyable with standard certification.
Drone photography works for many North Vancouver listings, but every flight depends on the address. Much of Burrard Inlet off the Lonsdale waterfront is controlled airspace used by the float planes and helicopters of Vancouver's harbour, so flights there need NAV CANADA permission. Further up the slopes in Lynn Valley, Edgemont and Seymour Heights, tall trees are the usual constraint, because the pilot has to keep the drone in sight.
Aerials earn their place on the North Shore: ridgeline context, the view across the inlet and the shoreline at Deep Cove. We check airspace before confirming, never launch from regional or provincial parkland without permission, and remove the drone charge if we can't fly.

Sometimes. It depends on the exact spot, and it needs NAV CANADA permission first. Much of the inlet is controlled airspace used by float planes and helicopters serving the downtown harbour, and Canada's rules require an authorization, requested through NAV Drone, before a drone flies there. Permission is given per flight and can be refused, so flag aerials when you book. If the flight isn't allowed, the drone charge is removed.
No. We don't launch from those parks without permission. Lynn Headwaters is a Metro Vancouver regional park, and the regional parks bylaw bars drone take-off and landing without a park permit. Mount Seymour is a BC provincial park, where flying a drone needs BC Parks permission. Instead, we fly from the property itself or another permitted spot, airspace allowing.
They can, because the pilot must keep the drone in direct sight. Transport Canada's visual-line-of-sight rule means no flying behind trees or buildings, and forest-backed lots in Lynn Valley, Blueridge and Edgemont are often ringed by tall canopy. We choose a launch point and flight path that keep the aircraft visible, which can change the angles available. Mention mature trees at booking so the flight can be planned.
Yes. For waterfront homes at Deep Cove and along Indian Arm, we pair drone aerials with an exterior set, airspace allowing. From above, buyers see the shoreline and how the home sits between the water and the forest. If the tide matters for how the foreshore looks, tell us when you book and we'll plan the time around it. See drone photography for what a set includes.
Not you. If we can't fly, the drone charge comes off your order. Wind and rain ground the aircraft, and in that case we reschedule the aerial part free rather than hand over unusable footage. If airspace rules block the flight, we say so before the shoot, not on the day. Aerial sets start at $175.99, and every price is on our prices page.
